Games Pod – Day 1

Today I ran my first Games Pod workshop with a mixture of children from years 4 and 6. I’m amazed at what was produced in under an hour and a half – especially considering all but two of them had never used 2DIY before! I can’t wait to create a website to house them all. Here’s a sneak preview of what some of the children in Bangkok Class created. Can you play them and give them some tips or hints as to how they could make them even better?

  1. My son and I played the first game and the 3rd game. We really liked them and think you are very clever to have created these games, particularly if you haven’t used the software before!
We think maybe you could improve them by adding some instructions at the beginning.
    Well done!

  2. Hello
I couldn’t leave without saying how good I thought your games were! I was very impressed that most of you had never done this before and then produced some excellent games. Keep up the great work :)

  3. Are these really the first games you have created with 2DIY? Wow! I have one tip for you – use the chequerboard colour to make a see through colour around the edge of characters :o )

  4. Hello Miss Lotriet this Florence and I played all the games and it was fun I can not wait to do my own.

  5. Hello everyone
What great work and excitement there seems to be down at Croydon with your Gamepod project!!

I played all of your games and I particularly liked the Escape from the Monster Game. This was the best one in terms of playability. Keep up the good work everyone and remember to test your games, maybe work with a partner and listen to each others feedback.
